sewerage

Golden light showers the Strandfontein Sewerage Works - which is not what you might think! Once a small naturally occurring vlei, the area was converted into a series of settling and oxidation ponds when the sewage works was developed. It is a designated Important Bird Area and is rated as one of the top five birding sites in South Africa. If you want to find out more, have a look at http://www.fbep.co.za/fbepbirdarea.html and http://web.uct.ac.za/depts/stats/adu/strandf.htm

I love feedback! Energy flows both ways, so let me know what you think, whether it's positive or constructively critical, both are valuable!
