AMS

Phew! It's been a full time since coming back from holiday, and not much of it for photos. To make up for the lack of pix last week, here's two: I was asked to take some photos of AMS's Agusta on a mountain rescue exercise, so I had a great excuse to leave my pc for a while and get out in the hills and order a heli to pose nicely and smile for the camera. They were called off for an emergency hospital transfer halfway through the exercise, so there was the benefit of a pleasantly easy walk back down the mountain without the puffy up bit (except for the guy carrying the stretcher, poor bastard!)

The SA Air Mercy Service is a non-profit organisation that provides an air ambulance network, rural health outreach and emergency rescue service around the country - check them out at www.ams.org.za.

  1. EXQUISITE site!!! Thoroughly enjoyed perusing your AMAZING work and DELIGHTFUL prose!! I stumbled on to your site as we both have "Wind, Sand and Stars" listed as one of our favorite reads...so glad to have thus stumbled! Thanks for sharing! : )

p.s. If you liked "Wind, Sand and Stars, you'd LOVE "West With the Night" by Beryl Markham : )

I love feedback! Energy flows both ways, so let me know what you think, whether it's positive or constructively critical, both are valuable!
