kokerboom

Just can't seem to stay away from my little square boxes of light! A quickie before bed, revisiting my Nam trip from last year: 1393 unedited photos, which for some reason I was mostly uninspired by on my return, but now seem to be turning up some real gems! Oh ja, the joys and tribulations of working in a subjective and entirely mood-dependant field...
Namib Quiver tree (Aloe dichotoma, also known as Kokerboom)

Lone quiver tree on the road between Aus and Sesriem

Adam bonding with the lone tree near Aus...
...and with a lone tree near the Fish River Canyon

Seems it's getting too hot even for these trees, and they're slowly dying out, thier dry, hollow branches drying out and lying at the foot of the tree like bleached bones

  1. The pictures of the Kokerboom are absolutely brilliant... almost mystical...

i can just sit here and stare at it... its absorbing. The contrasts are subtle to harsh in a flowing way.

I love feedback! Energy flows both ways, so let me know what you think, whether it's positive or constructively critical, both are valuable!
