Happy Freedom Day

Freedom Day can be a personal holiday as well as a public holiday:
Try this for today: free yourself of negative judgments (both of yourself and others - it only ties you up); free yourself from embarrassment (we're all human, we all do things that make us cringe to think of them, but hey, you can relax and tell yourself it's actually okay, because it is!); free yourself from your frustration of unmet expectations and inaccurate assumptions: what is, is, but what can change is how you decide to respond to what is. Free yourself from your insecurities - we all have them, and guess what? people don't give a hoot if you're scared of something, but they do admire those who have the strength to acknowledge their fears, even if you don't face up to them today - or even anytime soon. Free yourself of conventions that don't serve you, from worrying about what others think, from negative thinking patterns (think "I'll remember this" rather than "I mustn't forget this"), free yourself from wallowing in the crap that gets you down and instead just acknowledge that it gets you down, and watch how it all converts from being a heavy lump into something that rises up and out and dissipates... (Well, it works for me!)

Just go out there - or even stay in here - and make a big, contented splash in your own day!
This morning I went for an early walk on the beach, and ended up getting totally immersed in photographing the splash patterns my feet made in the wet sand - I didn't give a shit what the rest of the people thought - the dog walkers, the fishermen shrimping, the runners and joggers and surfers... I was just making a fun splash in my own world, and that's all that mattered, and that's all okay!
 Have an awesome weekend!

I love feedback! Energy flows both ways, so let me know what you think, whether it's positive or constructively critical, both are valuable!
