Except for now; it's permanently now.

I was sitting sorting flat pebbles from spherical ones to cast into my new shower floor when it occurred to me that I was putting a lot of love and effort into something that I would possibly sell sooner rather than later. I have made a shower floor like this before, but that time I assumed that I would be using it for many, many more years. Then I realised a few other things: I was enjoying the simple pleasure of playing with pebbles; when I discovered an apparently plain pebble to have a unique and varied beauty, my mind would be distracted into quietness and appreciation so in those moments I had no past or future, like I used to be able to do as a child; when my mind went back to what it usually does, I also realised that even things we think of as permanent are so temporary - often unexpectedly so; anything that provides pleasure is worth making a good effort for; and no matter how fleeting anything is, dive into it and enjoy it to your fullest...

I love feedback! Energy flows both ways, so let me know what you think, whether it's positive or constructively critical, both are valuable!
