Nature's Worn Gems

Worn things generally hold more aesthetic interest for me than those that are brand new and perfectly formed. My home is filled with items I've collected over the years, some having resided in my backpack for a few years while I made my was across various continents, others just picked up from the beach the other day. I love looking at them, and one morning, while sitting on my steps sipping tea after sunrise, I was inspired to photograph them against the rustic worn background of some planks of wood that washed up on the beach during one of the Cape's and which are now my steps.

These are printed in two sizes: small 10x10cm tiles (currently available to order online) and limited edition extra large 50 x 100cm prints (available to purchase by special request).

These are just four out of the collection - more can be viewed on my website at

I love feedback! Energy flows both ways, so let me know what you think, whether it's positive or constructively critical, both are valuable!
