Softness

The past week I've enjoyed a little visit from winter - a taster of what's to come. I know it gets cold and, in the Cape, very wet, but there's something about the rain we get here that simply delights me. Judy and I ventured up the mountain in the rain, enjoying the vivid colours and the kitchness of teeny water drops on flowers that nature does so well. And then there is the surf, of course! But apart from that, it the mood of the rains, so varied and ranging from wildly windy thunderstorms to gentle softness of light.
