A line from a U2 song stuck in my head yesterday: "some days have bouncers and won't let you in".
I was having one of those. But just before the end of it I took myself for a walk, a quick one up to Steenberg Peak via the same route I had taken the previous evening. By the time I got to the summit, my mood had been washed away by the rain, blown away by the wind. Over the bay I could see the shower that had just raced over me with the wind, and further south there was another sporting a fat, stumpy rainbow. Towards Noordhoek I could see the next one coming, but for a while there on the summit, it was just the me and the wind on the rocks, in a very soft, photogenic light. I made my way back when the sun was well below the horizon, running down in the rain, happy...
I know I am really fortunate, not only to have such easy
access to such a wonderful little piece of nature, but also
to have the ability to wander around in it, and I really
hope I manage to share even a teeny bit of the enjoyment I
receive through these pics...

I love feedback! Energy flows both ways, so let me know what you think, whether it's positive or constructively critical, both are valuable!
