This is a slide photo I took about 10 years ago while camping in the
Cederberg under the magnificent Sandfontein Arch. I didn't have anything
as sophisticated as a remote shutter release for my little Pentax film
camera back then, so I set up my shot using a boulder as a tripod and
taped a tiny round pebble to the shutter button to hold it down for an
hour. My chommies assisted by painting the arch with our head torches
for a few minutes, and the rest was lit by candlelight.
Back in those
good old days of film there was no instant gratification and I had to
wait till I got back to civilisation before I'd see whether the shot had
worked or not! I was so chuffed when I viewed this one under the loupe on the light table! |

I love feedback! Energy flows both ways, so let me know what you think, whether it's positive or constructively critical, both are valuable!
