1. keen mental suffering or distress over affliction or loss; sharp sorrow; painful regret.
2. a cause or occasion of keen distress or sorrow.

my definition:
1.  allowing oneself to honestly and fully express all one's deep, sorrowful, painful, angry, frustrated emotions, without suppression, without self-judgment, by oneself or to another person, and, in the process, discovering a calm and complete acceptance of oneself, ones life, and the people one comes into contact with, leading to state of reconnection, inspiration, comfort, liveliness, enjoyment, fun, laughter, and a desire to spread a sense of joy and love with everyone one comes into contact with!
