Celebrating 8 years of Pic of the Week with 30% discount on prints

On 23rd of June 2006, a few months after switching to digital photography, I realised that without slides or prints most of my photos would probably never been seen by anyone other than myself. I decided to email a photo to a few family members every week, giving them a visual update on what I'd been up to that week. The following week I had a few requests to be included in the mailings, the week after that a few more, and, well, eight years on there's about five hundred of you!
Thank you! For all your support and comments, but mostly for your enjoyment - that's what really makes me happy!
While I never intended for this to "get out there", what's really astounded me is the inspirational and motivational impact it's had, both on myself and some of you. I didn't take it seriously until I started receiving feedback every week from different people telling me how much they looked forward to the Pic of the Week, how it brightened their day, or inspired them to go out and take photos, or gave them an emotional lift just when they needed it. Knowing that my images touch people in such a way really makes me feel good, and motivates me to continue creating images through the good times and to keep going through the bad. I've also been able to open up and be more expressive, realising that, even though the details are unique, we all go through similar life experiences and challenges and by sharing our own journeys in some way helps others.
So, to celebrate eight years of sharing, I'm giving a 30% discount off all my art prints for the rest of June and July. All photos featured on the Pic of the Week are available, as well as others, all of which can be viewed in my new Signature Collection gallery on my website at http://pix.andynix.co.za/-/galleries/fine-art-prints/signature-collection, as well as the other galleries on my website.

Yes, winter may be wet in the Cape, but oh! It's beautiful! (Fireclouds above Elsie's Peak and Simon's Town, viewed from the mountain above Kalk Bay.)

I love feedback! Energy flows both ways, so let me know what you think, whether it's positive or constructively critical, both are valuable!
