Return of the winter sun

Yup! It's been cold! Still is, despite the sun shining again! Much as I love the rain, I was delighted when I saw a warm pink dawn glow reflecting into my home yesterday morning. Jogging along the beach I was even more delighted to see mist (I guess technically it's steam) rising from the waves backlit by the rising sun! The sand was freezing, as my poor bare toes informed me, and the water was comparatively so much warmer! It was beautiful, but I had assumed it would be just another beautiful, but unphotogenic, sunrise and had left my camera at home, and just enjoyed the feeling of heating up from the inside and the crisp, cold air on the outside. (Another enjoyable thing about cold winter mornings is that I get to enjoy that rare pleasure of having the entire beach, as far as I can see, completely to myself.)
