Spring, new growth and cleaning out...

Hellooooo!!!
Well, that little pause has been a bit longer than expected! Since the last pic of the single arum lily, the arums along False Bay went wild, making the always-scenic drive along the False Bay coast particularly beautiful, and I simply couldn't resist a sunrise visit to photograph them. (I have never seen such long-stemmed arums! I found that it was quite a wade rather than a paddle through the flowers, as the dune bushes they grow above are often waist-high!)

Lots of precious little has been happening for me in the past few weeks - I've been so blessed with  opportunities to indulge in the little, yet oh-so-precious things that often get overlooked, shoved aside or put off for that 'later' thing (which never comes as it is only ever 'now'). While this has been a very difficult year for me (and for many others, it seems, in varying ways), I've often discovered that lots of Goodness comes out of Difficult; it's kind of like beautiful flowers growing out of compost. (Although admittedly it's difficult to see the good being nourished in the midst of the difficult. We just have to trust that growing pains are not only inevitable but that they will come to an end, and you'll find that they were totally worth it!)
What's kept me going strong is looking out for, and really appreciating, the precious little things. It's where I find real life really is, and my advice to everyone is to do the same: put phones on silent to spend time interacting with family and friends, get up a little earlier to appreciate some fresh air in nature (whether wilderness or garden), pause once in a while to notice your breath flowing through your body... so many ways to gift yourself and others and keep yourself feeling good.
When you make the things that make you feel good a priority, you'll find that the rest falls into place!

(Like my friend Sally, who decided that she really wanted to write a novel, organised her life so she could, only to find her book, Tannie Maria’s Recipes for Love and Murder, becomming the hottest thing in the international publishing world! Whooop-whoop! Dreams come true, even (and especially) when you least expect them to! Well done Sally, I can't wait to read it! (Click here to read more...)

I love feedback! Energy flows both ways, so let me know what you think, whether it's positive or constructively critical, both are valuable!
