This photo was taken next to Ou Kaapse Weg about two weeks after the fires, and the one below was the same place yesterday.
These
fires were quite an emotional for thing for so many people, and the
Artvark gallery in Kalk Bay is hosting a group exhibition of 40+
artists, working in diverse mediums, reflecting on the recent fires. The
opening is this Friday 29th of May from 7pm; I'm also exhibiting and
will be there on Friday, so hope to see you if you're in the area! More

"re-m-ember 6900 hectares" is a group exhibition of 40+ artists reflecting on the Cape Of Flames
pertaining to the recent Cape Town fires.
The exhibition opening
reception is on Friday the 29th of May 2015 at 7pm. Janet Ranson will be
opening the show with a performance art piece.

Mckellar, Joshua Miles, Theo Paul Vorster, JP Meyer, Laura Du Toit ,

Alison Rordan, Janet Ranson, Theresa Jo Wessels, Andy Nixon and many other great
artists.
Ten percent our proceeds of the show will go to the Volunteer Wildfire Services.
The exhibition concludes on the 7th of July 2015.
Beyerskloof has generously donated wine for the opening. The Courtyard Cafe will remain open for the evening until 8:30pm with a
delicious winter warmer set menu of soups, chicken or butternut
tartlets with a side salad and caponata with brown wild rice. The usual
Courtyard Cafe assortment of deserts and drinks will be on offer too.
