Renewal

Feeling tired at the end of the day, wanting nothing more than to be hugged by my enticingly comfy couch, but knowing that would only make me feel sluggish, I decided to go for a short stroll on the hill to revive. A walk, of course, means packing my Brikon, and at the thought I very nearly caved into to a sluggish evening. But then I had a most remarkable insight: of course! a walk could be solely a walk without a camera! And suddenly the glamour of sluggishness vaporised and soon I found myself wandering through new post-fire spring growth, energised and inspired to create images to share what was delighting me, grateful for the compact convenience of my Camsung that I had in pocket, but wishing the large lens properties of my Brikon could be converted to something small and lightly un-brick-like. One day...

I left just after sunset, thoroughly invigorated and enjoyed a good book, hugged by my couch for the rest of the evening, sans any feelings of sluggishness.

So, the moral of my story today is: when feeling sluggish, move. In nature. Walk in your garden, the beach, a park, or just around the block, watching the teeny-tiny teeming life pushing through the cracks...

I love feedback! Energy flows both ways, so let me know what you think, whether it's positive or constructively critical, both are valuable!
